8/1/12

The time is coming for me to pack up and leave this town. Actually, this country.
It's official. I bought my tickets to and from Italy leaving September 1st and returning November 24th.
I don't think it's all really hit me yet, but it's starting too. A mix of fear, nerves, excitement and anticipation flood me every time I think about packing, flying, speaking and working for this internship. I consider myself to be a fairly independent and responsible adult, but when I think about what I'm about to do, I feel so very much like a little girl who wants to hide behind her parents' legs while someone else faces the big, scary world for her. But I know I have been so, so blessed to have this opportunity and I will probably never have an experience like it again. And I know that it will change my life and be something I will always appreciate and remember.
Anyway, this post is kind of an official hiatus from this portion of "normal life" for this blog. Since I'm already so bad at blogging and I'm going to be really busy, I don't think I'll be writing on here until I get to Italy. I plan to blog the experience in my Italy page and pretty much solely there so it's distinct for future reference. I also don't plan to post too much on Facebook since that can be really annoying and seems like bragging to me. But, if you're interested in seeing what I learn and experience now you know.

Ciao.
