I won't apologize for not blogging lately because I don't feel so self-absorbed to believe you missed me. But in case you did, I'm sorry.
And now, we'll jump right into this with me sharing some of my favorite things of late. I hope you like them too.
Tempo RunsTechnically these are called fartleks. I think that was a terrible idea, so I tell my friends I do tempo runs. It saves me some embarrassment. I got really out of the habit of running and, with the high altitude in Provo, recently (as in the past year-ish) it's been difficult for me to go more than three miles. With these tempo runs I can spread out my paces and get recoveries. Not to mention they're supposed to burn more fat or something cool like that. This past Saturday I ran/walked five miles, easy breezy. This is the workout I did.

Nail Art
A few months ago I saw an ad for a free box from Julep, a nail polish and beauty product company. I got the free box and quickly became obsessed. I told my co-worker and now we're both obsessed. We gush over nail polishes in our spare time at work. But, it's a great obsession to have because we've been able to score some great deals on great polishes by splitting up orders. Also, summer is the best time to become more invested in nail care.
Quiche
This quiche recipe from Real Simple is one of the best things that has happened to my culinary life. I love breakfast food. I love simplicity. I love affordable things. Check, check, check. It's a basic quiche so you can use the generic framework and create any type of meal you want. My roommate and I have added spinach, tomatoes, and asparagus to it. We've also substituted cheddar and blended cheese for the Gruyere. They've all turned out wonderful.
